Placemaking is a collective process of reinvention of the public spaces with the purpose of promoting people’s health, happiness and well-being. The “Placemaking Connected” conference has the aim to bring together placemaking experts from all over Europe, Bulgaria and the Balkan region and present a series of talks, discussions and workshops based on practical experience and successful projects. As placemaking is a people-centred process of building-up the character of a place, our studio decided to put emphasis on the human touch in the visual materials of the event. We illustrated the simple acts of participation that change and improve our environment and we wanted to encourage everyone to be responsible for the quality of the public spaces.
